Attended Workshops:


1. Smart Campus Innovation Lab – Dare to Learn Lean Service Creation Workshop by Tampere3 : Smart Campus Innovation Lab (SCIL) is an open authentic learning and innovation platform and ecosystem – a living lab. We bring together students and researchers from different fields, other staff members, and the society, to solve interdisciplinary challenges and contribute to the development of smart campus and students´ competences. In the initial phase, we focus on digitalization. Under development is, for example, how to optimize Tampere3 students’ schedules with the time-tables of local transportation. The outcome will be a mobile application based on open data. During the D2L workshop the participants collaboratively: acknowledge and define a concrete challenge related to smart campus development, develop ideas, and conceptualize a concrete solution for the challenge. Based on the output of the workshop, a joint development project will be initiated together with the participating higher education institutions. Working method Futurice Lean Service Creation method will be applied.



2. Building a community to support learning and the student experience by Aalto University and Aalto University Student union: Building a community to support learning and the student experience. The idea behind FITech network university is to ensure best talent for the global leading companies in industrial growth areas such in SW Finland. This is done by university collaboration and by developing modern, project-based, flexible, partly virtual study possibilities. Focus in studies and projects is on industrial driven cases and contents. In this new network university we are building the academic community together with students from heterogeneous backgrounds. We are facing challenges of network campus, different time frames, teaching and learning methods, interests groups, locations, systems and different kinds of the study paths. How to have a sense of community and belonging in this kind of environment? How to enhance the commitment in studies and SW region? What kind of support elements are necessary to success? FITech pilot project provides students with more study entities based on their career plans and ambitions. Spectrum of offering covers e.g. mentoring by FITech society, thesis possibilities, internship placements and integration in to global community. Come with your ideas to our workshop. We will identify and create a prototype of a novel student community together. Let’s co-create!


3. Leadership as a Service – Case Vincit by Suomen Yrittäjät : How does an organization enable the most nourishing working-environment? How to support individuals to effective self-leadership, continuous development and loving for what they do?
